I’m righthanded.Every time I play basketball in 5v5 or 3v3 i can’t help my self I always use my righthand and every time i dribble the ball I always go to right directions. So they are easy to predict my move. Any tips Coach Jessy to my problem.

Partly you need to just force yourself to go the other way in games, but also how and what you practice will make a difference. The things I’ll be giving you as part of this series will help build that comfort and confidence you need.

Hey coach, if I practice roughly 4 times a week, how long will It take for me to get decent handles?
P.S I do not play for a team.

I really can’t say, because it depends on so many things… what you’re doing in your practice, how often you’re practicing, etc. That’s why I have full programs so you know you’re practicing the right way and can expect to see quick improvements.

Sir I am biggner iam confused ,for getting my handle at next level which programme I should use.ball on string or speed handle 2.???

    • Jesse Muench

      Reply Reply October 4, 2017

I’d recommend starting with Ball on a String 2 and then going into Speed Handles 2, but you will still get great results if you do just Speed Handles 2. They both work on your handles, they just focus on different element of it. Ball on a String 2 is more focused on ball control, Speed Handles 2 is focused on speed, strength, and power with your handles.

Hey Coach when it comes to pounding the ball during warm ups should I focus more on my weak hand or focus on both hands equally?

    • Jesse Muench

      Reply Reply October 4, 2017

Make sure you work on both, but it can’t hurt to put in some extra reps on that “Ace Hand”! 😉

Any recommendations on how much bounce a ball should have. I noticed different balls that have different amounts of air can affect your dribbling.

    • Jesse Muench

      Reply Reply September 22, 2017

I actually like to mix it up with that. That way when you come into a game when there’s a ball with more or less air you can adjust to it easily.

Guys like John Wall are able to dribble past multiple defenders without losing the ball or going out of control. How are they able to keep such a good handle on the ball through defenders at that speed, and still have the coordination to finish the play AFTER that? Thanks for these tips by the way.
